Goal
Turn a vague topic into a prioritized keyword cluster and a content brief you can hand to a writer. This workflow assumes you are building a site around commercial intent (reviews, comparisons, alternatives) plus supporting tutorials.
Step 1: Start with a seed keyword
Enter a seed term in KWFinder and set the location/language that matches your audience. Export the initial list.
Step 2: Filter for intent
For affiliate SEO, prioritize modifiers that signal purchase research:
- review, vs, alternatives, best, pricing, coupon, discount
- for beginners, for small business, for agencies, for creators
Step 3: Validate the SERP
Open the best candidates in SERPChecker. You are looking for:
- SERP composition (are reviews ranking? tutorials? forums?)
- Dominant page types (category pages, listicles, vendor pages)
- Authority level of ranking domains (can you compete?)
Step 4: Build a cluster
Group keywords by the page type you will publish:
- Review page: “tool review”, “tool pricing”, “is tool worth it”
- Comparison page: “tool vs competitor”, “tool alternatives”
- Tutorial page: “how to do keyword research”, “how to check SERP difficulty”
Step 5: Produce a brief

Common failure modes
- Chasing volume while ignoring intent.
- Publishing a tutorial for a SERP dominated by "vs" pages (or vice versa).
- No internal linking strategy, so pages do not reinforce each other.
